This market will resolve to “Yes” if, as of January 1, 2027 – 00:00 PST, the United States is still administering Venezuela.
Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.”
For the purposes of this market:
- “Administration of Venezuela” refers to a situation in which the United States exercises governing authority over Venezuela as publicly acknowledged by the U.S. government or the U.S. executive branch.
- This market will resolve based on the status at the resolution timestamp, regardless of whether the administration was reduced, modified, or temporarily suspended prior to that time.
- A qualifying conclusion of administration requires an official, public declaration by the United States that it has relinquished governing authority, including the transfer of control to a Venezuelan government or internationally recognized transitional authority.
- Statements of intent to withdraw, partial transfers of authority, or ongoing transition processes do not qualify unless the United States has formally declared that it no longer administers Venezuela
