This market will resolve to “Yes” if Venezuela holds presidential elections in 2026 that are widely recognized as democratic and result in the appointment of a president, at any time after the creation of this market and before January 1, 2027 – 00:00 PST.
Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.”
For the purposes of this market:
- “Democratic elections” are defined as elections that are credibly administered, and are recognized as such by a consensus of credible international observers or governments.
- An election that merely extends an incumbent’s term, appoints an interim leader without a vote, or lacks broad international recognition does not qualify.
