This market will resolve to “Yes” if the Ethereum mainnet adopts a new consensus-level target block time of 6 seconds (or lower) at any point after the initiation of this market and before January 1, 2027, 00:00 PST.
Otherwise, the market will resolve to “No.”
For the purposes of this market:
• A qualifying change must be the result of an Ethereum network upgrade (hard fork) that explicitly modifies the protocol-defined target block time to 6 seconds (or a lower value).
• Measured or observed block times do not matter unless they are the result of a protocol rule change.
• Statements of intent, proposals (e.g., EIPs), testnet changes, simulated results, client-specific behavior, or temporary deviations in block production do not qualify.
• Only mainnet protocol changes occurring after market deployment are eligible.
If no qualifying protocol upgrade is activated on the Ethereum mainnet by the resolution deadline, this market will resolve to “No.”
